Cuc Phuong Jungle Paths (VIE)
Introduction
A new entry into the 2023 Asia Trail Master Championship series last year. This Vietnamese event has two faces. The 100km and 70km are tough - the 100 even very tough - while the 42km is catering for trail runners who like the more runable trails. Organised by Race Jungle, which also brought you Cau Dat Farm Ultra in 2020 and Tam Dao Mountain Trail in 2017.
Cuc Phuong is a large national park near Ninh Binh, a couple of hours south of Hanoi. The Park has been on the adventure travellers and backpackers itinerary for decades now.
Relevant for the ATM Championship ranking are the 100km and 42km race categories. If your main goal is the Grandmaster Quest, however, you could also consider the 70km category.
If you can come to Hanoi earlier, please note there is a race pack collection opportunity there in the famous Old Quarter on Wednesday before the event weekend.
